Heizmannia (Heizmannia) greenii (Theobald, 1905) is one the earliest recognized members of the genus, but it has never been adequately defined in its major life stages. This paper presents redescriptions of the male, female and larva, and a first description of the pupa of this species. The distribution of greenii and its bionomics, including man-biting behavior in Sri Lanka, are discussed.
