A new species, Anopheles (Anopheles) hermsi, is described based on eggs, larvae, pupae, and adult females and males. Previously unpublished keys of Belkin and McDonald are presented that will identify most larvae and pupae. The only certain means of identification is by examination of the chromosomes.
