A new species Topomyia (Topomyia) sabahensis is described from Sabah, Malaysia. The adult female, male, pupa and larva are described in detail and illustrations of the male genitalia, pupa and larva are provided. Topomyia sabahensis is a rain forest species, so far known to breed only in the leaf axils of Allocasia species.
