More than 1400 specimens of Aedes canadensis canadensis and Ae. canadensis mathesoni in the U. S. National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, were studied. There are 15 intergrades, but the subspecies, mathesoni, is not represented in material collected north of Georgia.
