Abstract

Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) noroestensis Galvan and Lane is synonymized with An. (Nys.) evansi (Brethes) based on the morphological comparison of the respective male genitalia of the lectotypes of these nominal species. The male genitalia of An. evansi is described and illustrated.
