Abstract

ABSTRACT. The female types of discrepans (Edwards) and tripunctata (Theobald) are redescribed and the habitus and genitalia are illustrated for the female of discrepans. These 2 species are transferred from Aedes Meigen to the subgenus Mattinglyia Lien of Heizmannia Ludlow. Notes on the latter genus are given.
