A modified float method for measuring stream discharge for black fly control is presented as well as a calculator program to assist in calculations and to provide a printed record. In addition, a calculator program is presented that provides a method for calculating rates of material [specifically Bacillus thuringiensis var. Israelensis (Bti)] to be applied to streams for black fly control and cost for treatment.
