A proprietary bath oil (Skin-So-Soft) containing mineral oil, isopropyl palmitate, diisopropyl adipate, fragrance, dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate and benzophenone was tested on the forearm for repellency to the yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti. The median effective dosage (ED50) and effective half-life (t1/2) of the product were estimated at 0.09 mg/cm2 and 1.6 hours, respectively.
