A technique is described for shipping adult Toxorhynchites rutilus rutilus by commercial air carrier to allow the production of this mosquito predator at a site distant from the release site. Indoor and field evaluations of the shipping procedure indicated that the technique temporarily increases fecundity but reduces overall adult daily survival and total oviposition.
