Fifty proof impressions with numbers inked at top of leaves (iron gall ink) ; Explicatio prospectus Horti Pisani ([2] leaves) at beginning; manuscript index ([2 p.]) at end; pages that comprised the text, if they existed, may have been so heavily corrected that they didn't use them or they didn't survive.

Plate sheets are 28 cm. and plate mark on sheet is 25 cm.; plates have descriptive text below image.

Plate XVI (16), plate XXiiii (24), plate XXX (30), and plate XXXi (31) have at lower left of image: Cosimo Mogalli, sculp.

Plate numbers in roman numerals at upper right of plates, arabic numerals at lower left or right of all plates except no. 45.

"Explicatio prospectus Horti Pisani" and plates appear to be the same as in the Catalogus plantarum horti Pisani 1723 edition: this item may be a proof or mock-up before publication of the actual item; the plates in this item do not have "Tab" numbering on the plates as in the Catalogus plantarum horti Pisani 1723 edition but "Tavola", chiefly at top of each leaf (sometimes within border of plate: see plates I-XV, XVII-XX, XXIII, XXV-XXVI, XXXIII XXXV, XXXVI), nor do the original plates have Latin name written as at the top left of some plates; plates cropped at top edge, fore edge, and at bottom edge; all images appear on leaf recto; paper not as thick as in the Catalogus plantarum horti Pisani 1732 item.
