An account of his career in forest research, 1908-1943 - in the regional office of U.S. Forest Service in Portland, Oregon, as director of the Pacific Northwest Forest Experiment Station, and as chief of forest management research at the Station. Appended: correspondence relative to the interview; proposed outline for interview and sample of questions used in final editing; bibliography for Munger. Also includes background research report for the interview; copy of Munger's Recollections as published in Timber Line (Dec. 1962); copy of History of Portland's Forest-Park by Munger (Feb. 1960).
