This volume is a catalog of bird specimens collected on islands of Johnston Atoll from January 1967 to September 1969 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Most specimens were collected on Sand Island; a few were collected on Johnston Island. Fields for 1967 records include species, date, field no., measurements, weight, fat, location, age, sex, gonads, remarks, band number, and date banded. Collectors include D. Burckhalter and W. Bulmer. Fields for 1968 records include species, field no, date, [remarks], and USNM #. Fields for 1969 records include species, field no., date, loc., how taken, wt (gm), measurements, sex, gonads, molt, band no, date band, a/s, disp of spec, and remarks. Collections were by Philip C. Shelton. Field numbers are continuous across all three years and span from 26203 to 26431. USNM #, where provided, are in the range of 544390 and 544692. Bird species include Sterna fuscata [Onychoprion fuscatus], Fregata minor, and others. Several specimens are noted as "guy wire strikes" or GWS. The folder also includes a loose sheet, "Shipment of specimens, sent 6 November, 1967," a table that lists sack #, catalogue #, specimen, and locality.
