Correspondence from Charles Hooker to John Torrey, dated approximately between 1838 and 1849, informing Torrey that he has had a student copy out a section from a publication in Benjamin Silliman's library as Torrey requested, and is sending it along to him. The letter probably refers to Adolphe Brongniart's article "Mémoire sur la famille des rhamnées," which appeared in volume 10 of Annales des sciences naturelles (1827).
