This field book contains notes related to Nelson's field research and travels in Mexico in 1896. Notebook contains a few pages of miscellaneous notes giving itinerary, miles traveled, notes on natural history and ethnological specimen possibly from someone else's collection, and coffee. Nelson seems to have been traveling in the vicinity of Oaxaca. Some dates given in the book are 8-10 February and 13 April.
