The journal documents Vernon Orlando Bailey's collecting in Wyoming, 1915, as part of the Biological Survey. The journal describes a survey of Elk Ranch, now part of Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. The entries include latitude and longitude positions of the property, descriptions and conditions of the tracts of terrain, vegetation, supplies, and agricultural fields. Content also covers suggestions for maintenance including fence installation. Entries are headed with subject (i.e. fence, paint, saddle horse). There are notes about staffing needs are requested by Mr. Nowlin. Also there are notes about the possibility of a bird refuge. Most of the notebook is blank.
