The notebook documents William Foshag's work at Paricutin Volcano and Mesa de Los Hornitos in Mexico, November 28, 1943 - December 8, 1944. Pages are numbered, and includes sketches, cross sections, diagrams, and news clippings. First notes relate to pahoehoe lava observed at Pedregal and Paricutin Mexico.
