ENG "February 2002" Introduction: The Critical Trends Assessment Program was established in 1992 to inform state policy makers about the state of Illinois' ecosystems. During the decade since then, CTAP has developed tools and programs to systematically monitor changes in ecological conditions in Illinois. These programs not only support policymakers to help them make wise decisions about protecting our natural resources, but provide information to state and local land managers and the public as stewards of Illinois lands and waterways.
