An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 11 March - 19 April 1956 in Ceylon (Sri Lanka), India, and Maldives. Collector numbers 36739-36924 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.). Localities include but are not limited to Kankaniyamulla Forest Reserve, Badagamuwa Forest Reserve, Colombo, Kottawa Arboretum, Hikkaduwa (Sri Lanka); Bombay (India); and Male Atoll, Furucolufuri Island, and Kuda Bados (Maldives). Extensive narrative notes documenting travel and observations of vegetation in India, Ceylon, and Maldives are included. Additionally, notes on travel to Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, and Italy are present. Some loose blank specimen labels are included in the front pages of the field book.
