Volume 1 issued in 4 parts entitled: Transactions of the Society, instituted in the state of New York, for the promotion of agriculture, arts, and manufactures. Parts 1-2 published in New York, 1792-94; parts 3-4 in Albany, 1798-1799. Reissued in a 2nd edition, Albany, 1801; some of the articles found in the 1st edition are omitted in the second.

In 1824 the Society united with the Albany Lyceum of Natural History to form the Albany Institute.

A sketch of the society with a list of its publications may be found in Transactions of the Albany Institute, volume 9, page [319]-320.

Volume 2 printed at Albany by J. Barber; volume 3 printed at Albany by Webster & Skinners.

Ceased publication with 1819.

Volume 4 issued in 2 parts, 1816-1819.
