"A prominent terrace platform mantled by richly fossiliferous sand of late Pleistocene age and alluvial deposits is well exposed in sea cliffs in the vicinity of Punta Cabras, some 40 miles south-southeast of Ensenada ... This area ... lies at the northern end of an extensive wave-cut platform which can be traced at least 31 miles along the coast to Punta San Telmo."
