This field book is comprised of lists of Allen's botanical collecting efforts from Panama, El Salvador, the Philippines, British North Borneo (now called Sabah, Malaysia), and Indonesia from 1952-1961 and describe Allen's specimen no. 6647-7777. Plants are typically identified by either scientific and common name. Most entries also contain narrative description of locality and physical description of specimen particularly color of flowers or fruits. Elevation is sometimes noted with locality name. Dated entries in Panama begin at the the Panama Canal Zone Experiment Station summit on November 29, 1952 and end in on the island of West Java in Indonesia on August 14, 1961.
