Notes

"This version of the Stream Quantification Tool and Debit Calculator for the Alaskan Interior (AKSQTint) have been regionalized for single-thread, wadeable streams in non-glacial alluvial and colluvial valleys. The purpose of the AKSQTint is to calculate functional lift and loss associated with reach-scale stream restoration and impact activities. The tool is a calculator that quantifies change between an existing and future stream condition. A main goal of the AKSQTint is to produce objective, verifiable, and repeatable results by consolidating well-defined procedures for quantitative measures of structural or compositional attributes of a stream and its underlying processes"--Page 9.

Contents: Glossary of terms -- Purpose and use of the AKSQTint -- Background and introduction -- Data collection and analysis -- Applying the AKSQTint for stream restoration -- References -- Appendix A. Field data collection methods for the AKSQTint -- Appendix B. Optional field forms -- Appendix C. Example impact activities and associated impact severity tiers -- Appendix D. Recommended macroinvertebrate taxonomy laboratories.
