Field notes Vol. 665 documents Michael Nee's botanical collecting in 1973 in Panama. During this time period Nee was living in Wisconsin, where he received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1979. The notebook contains a list of specimen numbers 6511-8680, collected August 8-December 6, 1973. The list contains collection location and date, herbarium distribution of specimens, many entries have very detailed descriptions of plant and habitat, and many have herbarium determination. There are several small illustrations. There are also many diary entries about the collecting trips. This is Collection Book 10 in Nee's numbering. The original field notebooks for these specimens are located in Field notes Vol. 653.
