Field notes Vol. 630 documents Truman George Yuncker's botanical collecting in the Caribbean in 1957-1958, and in Michigan, Scotland, and Washington state in 1959-1960. It is a volume of pre-printed field labels from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where Yuncker was a professor of botany and curator of the herbarium. Label information is filled in for the following collections: numbers 1-27, collected May 12-22, 1958 in Trinidad, Grenada, Barbados, and Antigua; numbers 1800-1840, collected May 30-June 8, 1958 in Jamaica (the specimen numbers in the NYBG Herbarium for these collections are 18800-18840); numbers 18850-18858, collected May 15-October 30, 1959 in Michigan; numbers 18859-18872, mosses collected in Scotland in 1960, not listed individually; numbers 18873-18937, collections from the Olympic Peninsula in 1960, not listed individually; and numbers 182-197 (actually 17182-17197), collected in Jamaica in 1957.
