From the Gordon L. Chan Papers (MSS-552), California Academy of Sciences Archive.

The National Association of Underwater Instructors Exploration Seminar to The Revillagigedo Islands in Mexico in April, 1974, revealed two major conclusions about the marine fauna. Observations showed that while the Indo-Pacific fish fauna was present at these islands, the Panamic Pacific Coast tropical fish species were more dominant. Secondly, the molluscan Gastropod fauna was mostly Panamic in speciation.
