Correspondence from Louis Menand to John Torrey, dated 1841-1842, discussing, in the first letter, a list Menand is sending Torrey, of "a few plants found in the vicinity of N. York, etc."; and in the second, asking Torrey to forward a coat and pair of boots from Menand's clothiers in New York City to his agent, who will send them on to him in Albany, where he has recently arrived.
