This field book contains notes on the paleontological specimen and geology of the Devonian Hamilton group in upper New York State, which includes but is not limited to the town of Hamilton and vicinity, Georgetown, Erieville Reservoir, Morrisville, and Oneida Creek. Cooper notes specimen found and also which are the most common specimen in certain locations. Examples of fossils found are Brachiopods, Pelecypods, Gastropods, and Crustacia. Other specimens are included. Annotated maps are included. Cooper labels locations on the maps with alpha-numeric codes which he refers to in his field notes. Descriptions of shale in which fossils are found are also included. Page numbers for these field notes are 0802c-0999.
