Robert P. Higgins, born in 1932, is an invertebrate zoologist who held various positions at the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of Natural History, 1968-1996. The Smithsonian Institution Archives house field notes that document his collecting trips around the world.This field book concerns a trip made between April 30 and November 19+, 1979. It shows stations notes with dates, names, coordinates and conditions at each site, then collection information on specimens of "Meiofauna collected by Dr. Jones" in Costa Rica and Bermuda.
