The notebook documents the field work of Robert Reitsma in Chajul, Mexico, during December 7, 1991 to March 6, 1992. Entries are usually dated, headed with notes about weather and location information (e.g. landmarks), followed by lists of observation data. These include common name, sex, quantity, and measurements (unidentified). There are sometimes notes about other types of fauna present. Also sometimes drawings relating to bird movements, and references to cacao. There is a draft of a letter and miscellaneous notes.
