Correspondence from William Arnold Bromfield to John Torrey, dated June 17, 1850, discussing mutual acquaintences, his work on the plants of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and his imminent voyage. He regrets he will probably not see Torrey in England as "I sail for the East in August." Bromfield died of typhus in Damascus in October 1851.
