The hydrographic sheet no. 1591 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from Long Island Sound (Inlet Point to Old Landing), October 27 - November 3, 1883. Lieut. J. T. Sullivan, U.S.N., was commanding the party. The table of data includes date, section number, fathoms, and appearance. There is a note at the bottom of the sheet stating to see hydrographic sheets 1590a and 1590b. Also includes a sheet of notes relating to specimens listed on sheets 1590a, 1590b, and 1591.
