Correspondence from Timothy Langdon Andrews to John Torrey, dated 1850-1855, primarily discussing a few species of California plants and citing the work of prominent botanists regarding those species. Andrews also asks Torrey to purchase some equipment for him in New York in preparation for Andrews' upcoming voyage to "the isthmus" (i.e., Panama). Obsolete plant names mentioned: Wellingtonia gigantea, Taxodium senpervivens, Marah muricata (Andrews writes "muricatus"), and Megarrhiza.
