This field book describes the observation and collection of mammalian, ornithological, and botanical specimens by Bailey in Oregon and Washington in 1897. The notebook is comprised of lists of mammalian, ornithological and botanical scientific names organized by date and place name and includes some narrative descriptions relating to animal behavior. The back contains a few entries written in March and April in Washington, D.C.
