On the reverse side, some include the image number, date, and sometimes a description or indication of vantage point. Subject matter includes vegetation with encroaching lava flows; nighttime and daytime eruptions; vistas with volcano in the far background; the cone; slopes of the volcano; plumes of smoke and vapor; unidentified individuals in terrain changed by lava; and street in the town of Capacuaro, Mexico.
